Sitemap Integration

Note: Available from version 1.5.0

By including your FAQ content in your shop's sitemap.xml, FAQ pages, categories, and entries are discovered and indexed by search engines more quickly. This improves the visibility of your FAQs in search results.

Activate sitemap integration

  1. In the Admin, navigate to Extensions → My extensions → FAQ Manager → Configuration.
  2. Scroll to the Sitemap section.
  3. Enable the "Include FAQs in sitemap" option.
  4. Choose the update frequency:
    • Hourly – for very frequently updated FAQ content
    • Daily (default, recommended) – for most shops
    • Weekly – if your FAQs rarely change
  5. Set the priority (default: 0.5, range: 0.0–1.0).
  6. Click Save.

Note: FAQ content will be included the next time the sitemap is generated. You can also manually regenerate the sitemap in Shopware under Settings → Sitemap.

Recommendations

  • Priority: Keep the value at 0.5 if your FAQs are of average importance. Increase it to 0.7–0.8 if your FAQ pages are among your most visited pages.
  • Frequency: Choose "Daily" if you regularly add new entries or update existing ones.
