Create an FAQ Entry

  1. Open the admin menu and select FAQ Manager > Entries on the left.
  2. You will see a list of all existing FAQ entries.
  3. Click the Create button in the top right to create a new FAQ entry.
  4. Use the form that follows to define the properties of the new entry.

The following settings are available:

General

QuestionEnter the question for the entry here.
AnswerEnter the answer for the entry here.

Settings

AuthorEnter the author here.
PositionThe position is used for sorting in the admin and has no effect on the frontend.
ActiveUse this to control whether the entry is displayed in the frontend.

Categories

Assigned CategoriesAssign already created categories here.

SEO Path

FieldDescription
Canonical URLsThe SEO path is automatically generated when the FAQ entry is saved, for each sales channel. Select the desired sales channel to view the SEO path. For more information see SEO Paths.

FieldDescription
Meta TitleHeading for the CMS function — recommended maximum 50–60 characters (excluding spaces).
Meta DescriptionThe recommended meta description is 200–300 characters.
KeywordsMeta keywords are no longer taken into account by Google.

Once you have made all your settings, click Save to create the new FAQ entry.

Additional tips:

  • Formulate questions and answers clearly and concisely.
  • Organise your FAQ entries into categories to make searching easier.
  • Use relevant keywords in the metadata to improve the discoverability of your FAQ page.
