Create FAQ answers with AI – FAQ Manager for Shopware 6

The AI assistant helps you create FAQ answers faster. You enter a question and let the AI generate a suggested answer – or have an existing answer improved. Suggestions appear as a preview and are only applied to the answer after you confirm them.

Requirements

The AI assistant uses an external AI provider with your own API key. Supported providers:

  • OpenAI
  • Anthropic (Claude)

Privacy: When used, the entered FAQ content is sent to the selected AI provider for generation. No personal customer data is transmitted. Please mention the use of AI in your privacy policy.

Setup

  1. In the Admin, go to Extensions → My extensions.
  2. Open the configuration of the FAQ Manager via the "…" menu.
  3. In the "FAQ Manager – AI assistant" card:
    • Enable Enable AI assistant
    • Select the provider (OpenAI or Anthropic)
    • Enter your API key
    • Optional: model, tone, temperature, max tokens, streaming
  4. Save.

Tip: Leave the Model field empty to use a cost-efficient default model of the selected provider.

Generate an answer

  1. Open or create an FAQ entry.
  2. Enter your question in the Question field.
  3. Click "Generate answer with AI".
  4. The suggestion appears in a preview (written live when streaming is enabled).
  5. Click "Apply" to insert the suggestion into the answer field – or "Discard".
  6. Review the answer and save the entry.

Improve an answer

If you already have an answer, you can have it refined with "Improve answer" – wording, structure and readability are improved while the content is preserved. Here, too, the suggestion is only applied after confirmation.

Tone

Use the Default tone setting to define the style of generated answers: neutral, friendly, concise or detailed.

Notes

  • The AI creates suggestions – review answers for factual accuracy before publishing.
  • Costs apply according to the terms of your AI provider (minimal with the cost-efficient default model).
  • Generation requires your server to have an outbound connection to the respective provider.
