Add an FAQ Page to Navigation
For your customers to find the FAQ page in the shop, you need to add it to the shop navigation. Since the FAQ Manager creates its own pages with automatically generated URLs (SEO paths), the integration works via an external link within a Shopware category.
Step by step
Step 1: Find the SEO path of the FAQ page
- In the Admin, navigate to FAQ Manager → Pages.
- Open the desired FAQ page by clicking on its name.
- Scroll to the Canonical URLs section.
- Select the desired sales channel from the dropdown.
- Note down the displayed SEO path (e.g.
/faqor/en/faq).
Note: The SEO path is generated automatically the first time the FAQ page is saved. If it is not shown yet, save the page once.
Step 2: Create a Shopware category as a navigation link
- In the Admin, navigate to Content → Categories.
- Select the desired navigation level or create a new category.
- Set the category type to Link.
- Scroll to the Custom link section.
- Set the link type to External.
- Enter the SEO path of the FAQ page – with a leading slash (e.g.
/faq). - Click Save.
Step 3: Verify the result
Open your shop and navigate to the newly created category. Clicking the menu item should take you directly to the FAQ page.
Multi-language shops
If your shop has multiple languages or domains, repeat the process for each language:
- Find the SEO path for the respective sales channel (e.g.
/en/faqfor English). - Create a separate category in the corresponding language version of the navigation.
Important notes
- The SEO path may change if you manually update it. In that case, also update the link in the shop category.
- The FAQ page must be marked as Active and assigned to the corresponding sales channel for the link to work.
