Sales Channel Selection for FAQ Pages
Note: Available from version 2.2.0
With FAQ Manager plugin version 2.2.0, a new feature was introduced that allows FAQ pages to be configured specifically for certain sales channels. This means you can control in which shops or sales channels your FAQ pages are displayed.
What is the Sales Channel feature?
The Sales Channel feature allows you to:
- Display FAQ pages only in specific sales channels
- Create different FAQ pages for different shops
- Have granular control over the visibility of your FAQ content
Where do I find the Sales Channel settings?
1. Navigate to FAQ page management
- Log in to the Shopware Administration
- Navigate to Content → FAQ Manager → Pages
2. Edit or create an FAQ page
For a new FAQ page:
- Click "Create"
- Fill in the basic information (title, description, etc.)
For an existing FAQ page:
- Click "Edit" on the desired FAQ page
3. Finding the Sales Channel selection
In the edit view, you will find the "Sales Channels" field in the right-hand column below the categories.
How do I use the Sales Channel selection?
Assigning sales channels
- Locate the field: Find the field labelled "Sales Channels"
- Open the dropdown: Click on the dropdown field with the placeholder "Select sales channels..."
- Select channels: You will see a list of all available sales channels. Select one or more.
Usage examples
Scenario 1: An FAQ for the main shop only — Select only your main sales channel.
Scenario 2: An FAQ for multiple shops — Select multiple sales channels.
Scenario 3: Different FAQs for different shops — Create separate FAQ pages and assign different sales channels to each.
Important notes
- Without a selection: If you do not select any sales channels, the FAQ page will not be displayed.
- With a selection: The FAQ page will only be displayed in the selected sales channels.
- The setting applies to the entire FAQ page and all FAQ elements it contains.
- Do not forget to click "Save" after making your selection.
Troubleshooting
FAQ page is not displayed
- Check whether the FAQ page is marked as "Active".
- Verify that the correct sales channel is selected.
- Make sure the page has been saved.
Technical details
The Sales Channel feature works with Shopware's own visibility system and creates associations between FAQ pages and sales channels in the database. This ensures optimal performance and compatibility with Shopware standards.
