Configure Redirect & 404 Manager – Shopware 6
Configuration
You will find the settings in the administration under:
Extensions → My extensions → Redirect & 404 Manager → Configuration
The plugin deliberately has only a single setting — the rest of the operation happens directly in the admin module (see Create a redirect and 404 log).
"404 Monitoring" card
| Setting | Meaning | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Log 404 errors | Records not-found URLs so you can create redirects for them in a targeted way | On |
When the setting is on, every requested URL that results in a genuine 404 response is captured in the 404 log. When it is off, nothing new is logged — existing redirects continue to work completely independently of this setting.
Existing entries in the 404 log remain unchanged when you disable the setting. It only controls whether new 404 hits are recorded.
When to disable logging
For most shops, "On" is the right choice, since the log is the most important data source for meaningful redirects. Disabling it can make sense in specific cases:
- Your shop receives heavy traffic from bots or scanners hitting random paths, flooding the log with irrelevant entries
- You have finished a migration or cleanup and don't currently need ongoing logging
In both cases you can re-enable the setting at any time without losing any existing data.
